Privacy and local data use
Knitting Needle Size Chart is operated by a private individual ("operator"). The effective date below changes only when the policy or data practice materially changes.

What this site does
This site is a free knitting needle size reference: converting and comparing millimetre diameters with nominal US, legacy UK/Canadian, and named Japanese manufacturer-profile labels. It has no account system, contact form, advertising, analytics beacon, third-party font, social widget, or external runtime script. Needle-size calculations run in your browser.
What stays on your device
When you save a needle size, the site stores its millimetre identifier in local storage on your device. You can clear saved sizes from the tool or through your browser settings. The offline feature may cache copies of the site files on your device, as browsers normally do for installed or frequently visited pages.
Result links
A copied or shared result link can contain the selected sizing system and needle size in its URL. Opening or reloading that link sends the URL to the hosting service as part of a normal web request. Do not put personal or confidential information into the size field.
Hosting and technical request data
The site is hosted on Cloudflare's edge network (Cloudflare Workers static assets). To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare may process an IP address, requested path, timestamp, browser or device information, and routing, security, and performance metadata. Cloudflare's own data-processing documentation describes its retention and security practices. The operator does not currently add separate analytics or cookie-based tracking.
Sale, advertising, and profiling
This site contains no advertising and no cross-site tracking code. The operator does not sell personal information and does not profile visitors.
Children
This is a general-audience reference tool. It is not directed to children under 13 and does not offer accounts or public submissions.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information; make requests through that address and the operator will respond to the extent required by applicable law without collecting unnecessary identity information.
